Albums

The discography of the American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and a number of compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards for their work.

Before the formation of Toto, band members did sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs album from 1975 Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics for lacking hit singles. In 1985 the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen left The band held auditions to find a replacement frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.

Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band. The group went through old recordings and tapes to create the album. The album was well received by fans and the band went on a tour featuring former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro, and Joseph Williams.

Shem von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer on the tour for the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set titled Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the band.
